Children’s Advocacy Center Medical Clinic

RFU Children’s Advocacy Center Medical Clinic provides specialized, trauma-informed care to children who are victims and survivors of sexual abuse. The Medical Clinic will deliver care to hundreds of children in Lake County who are in need of medical forensic examinations. Delivery of care includes oversight from a qualified Medical Director and examinations by Certified Pediatric SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) Providers at a safe and child welcoming environment.

RFU Children’s Advocacy Center Medical Clinic recognizes the first priority of the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Child Advocacy Clinic (CAC) and our role in ensuring appropriate and timely forensic medical examination for those patients who have been, or are suspected of having been sexually assaulted, abused, or exploited. RFU Children’s Advocacy Center Medical Clinic shall provide treatment to patients of sexual assault in such a manner as to protect the patient’s dignity and to minimize the physical and psychological trauma of the assault incident.
