Experience
Dr. Moss is Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry and after completing her Psychiatry Residency at Barnes Hospital was employed for 29 years at the North Chicago Veterans Administration (now called James Lovell Federal health Care Center) and has been on the faculty in the Department of Psychiatry at the Chicago Medical School since then. She has experience working on both inpatient units and outpatient clinics, as well as many years running the Psychiatry Consultation-Liaison service. She worked in community mental health at the Lake County Behavioral Health Clinic for 6 years while at the VA as well. Throughout her career she has trained psychiatry residents, medical students, and for over 10 years served as the Director of the Psychiatry Medical Student Clerkship.
Practice Interests
Dr. Moss’s expertise is in the diagnosis and medical management of Major Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Psychotic Disorders, Catatonia, and Anxiety Disorders. Highly aware how mental health illnesses can adversely affect all aspects of patients’ and their families lives she works with those in need of community and social services to guide them to the resources for assistance and improve their day to day lives.
